We let JD have his first friend birthday party. At first his guest list consisted of pretty much anyone he knows. So, we told him to narrow it down a bit. Well, that didn't work to well either. He still wanted to invite anyone within about 10 years of his own age. So, we helped him by saying he could only invite 6 friends. So, he decided he wanted 3 cousins, and 3 friends. Well, none of his friends could make it so, it turned out to be a cousin party. Which was fine by me, (less kids, less stess). I took some wonderful advice from a pro mom (you know who you are) and I didn't plan any activities. We just let them have one big play date, with decorations, pizza, cake and duh.... presents. Of course boys will be boys, so the decorations actually turned into an activity. The streamers kept falling off the wall, and the boys had fun tearing them to shreds and thowing them in the air yelling" it's a celebration". Of course most of them could'nt really say "celebration" so they just yelled. I think they had a great time.

How fun! friend parties are so much fun and so much noise and most of all a ton of work! But well worth it!
